Bad Sign

from Funeral Days by Starving Arts

/

lyrics

i was born beneath a bad sign, underneath a wicked moon one weary winter night. in howling wind I found a friend. a comrade in the cold. a black crow by my side calling me home.

a tired mind that time has stapled shut. a river's mouth that runs without the will to back it up. another luke-warm promise to myself that i'm doomed to betray. no bloom. just blight. no light. only decay.

depression's ghost looming like a yoke around my neck. a worn-out joke that hits so hard i crumble at it's threat. a dark disease. the sickness always seems to define me, blind me, bind me.
